Capriccio Clarinet Orchestra
The Capriccio Clarinet Orchestra was founded in 1989 by John de Beer, clarinettist and conductor, and is now with 40 musicians one of the major clarinet orchestras of Holland. By using the different kind of clarinets Capriccio has the same range as a symphony orchestra and is able to play works from the international symphonic repertoire.
Beside classical music Capriccio performs klezmer, selections from musicals, jazz and folk music. Under the professional and enthusiastic direction of maestro John de Beer Capriccio performs at stages in Holland and abroad.
Capriccio toured Denmark, North-Wales, Hungary, Australia, Russia, Spain and Italy. Highlights were concerts at the Eisteddfod in Wales, ICA Conferences, Giro d’Italia, Australasian Conference in Brisbane, Clarisax Day in Modena and Nerv-Conventions in Utrecht.
